I am always interested in accepting Speaking opportunities at Business Network groups, conferences and team activity
days.
Also professional network groups might be interested.
The speeches can either be presentations or workshops, and I prefer groups to participate in some
interactive activities. The subject matter can be chosen for the appropriateness of the group, and can be on subjects
like mental and physical preparation before an interview, preparing yourself for a network meeting, or specific vocal skills.
Speeches and workshops can take the form of 1 hour vocal workshops, 15 minute ‘taster’ sessions and
presentations.
Organisations I have spoken at within the last year include:
- Rotary International
- Chartered Management Institute
- Women in Business Network
- Creative Herts Network Group
- Ladies’ Circle
- WIRE (Women in Rural Environments)
Feedback from participants includes:
“The vocal workshop was amazingly restorative”
“The activity had the potential to build upon later in the programme as an example of active team working”
“The vocal workshop was a really nice touch”.

"Creative Herts was delighted
when Susan agreed to carry out a fifteen
minute 'mini workshop'
to demonstrate how to relax and prepare for meetings.
This offered the members
an effective chance to get to know each other
better and offered some
light-hearted fun. Very effective, popular and we
look forward to her next
one!"

"Susan came along to a
Circle meeting at the end of November 2006. Beforehand I was told that she was
a 'voice coach' who was coming to give us a singing lesson. While this sounded
very pleasant, I was also slightly worried as I don't have a good singing voice and it isn't really 'my kind of thing'. I had had a very stressful day and had loads of work to do that evening. I very nearly sent my apologies - but I am so glad that I didn't!
Susan immediately put us at our ease and there was no pressure to 'perform' or even to get it right! We had really good fun and it was lovely to sing songs and lullabies from across the world. This diversity appealed to me as I work in early years and I am sure the children would love the melodies
too. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and felt relaxed for the first time in
ages. I went home with a plan that I would do some work but I didn't do a thing. This, believe it or not, is a good sign. Anyone
who can make me realise that there is more to life than emails at 11 pm certainly has a special talent! I would love to do it again and would recommend that absolutely anyone, of any age, and any level of talent
give it a try."
