“It’s the best team building exercise: it reduces tension and is extremely uplifting I thought it was a fantastic idea and definitely something I would like to use at some point in the future. I’ve talked about you to a number of people and am happy to highly recommend you”.

“When I saw the plan of the day, I knew it was going to be good, but this surpassed all expectations. You were a star! Thank you!”

“I bought Susan in to run a team vocal session as part of a team building day I was running for Sadlers Wells development team. Susan run ran a fun group piece of work building on the work we had done in the morning. She was able to join the group and lead them through developing their own jingle even though she had not been privy to their work in the morning. I look forward to running similar workshops with Susan. In summary Susan is a conscientious professional person who knows her subject well. She is very personable and can adapt to situations. I am happy to speak to you if you would like any further information”.

“I have always had difficulty speaking loudly and clearly, for example when giving presentations, or even in conversation in noisy environments. Using Susan’s techniques, I am on the way to overcoming this problem and can already project my voice with much less effort. Susan created an atmosphere where her students were able to try out the techniques without feeling self conscious. It was a very enjoyable as well as a useful way to spend a day”.
Peter Burton, Management Consultant, Statec Limited
“My presentation and it went extremely well and I won over our new investors. It was what I learnt from you that gave me the confidence to me and present with passion.
So many thanks to you. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending your company”.
Kind regards. Jan Harris, Company Director. First Place Nursery
“Right at the start Susan made me feel comfortable, she has a warm and friendly style, she is also very humorous and that certainly helped in encouraging me to try the exercises that took me out of my comfort zone. So through using these skills and her very thorough knowledge of voice she was able to encourage me to take a risk and try a variety of vocal techniques. I discovered I had a voice!”

“Each session was relaxed, non-judgemental, informal and fun including relaxation and warm up exercises prior to the actual voice work. I was given a workbook full of easy-to-follow tips and advice. Also each session was recorded so I could return home and practice many of the techniques learnt. I was impressed by the rapid progress I made during only a small number of sessions. This improvement has been commented upon by both my family and friends”.

“I am writing to thank you very much for entertaining the attendees of our Ladies’ Dinner last week. It was a great idea to do some singing and generally wake us all up after all that sitting, eating and beverage consumption. I know that others enjoyed themselves, it was good fun and something a little different to the usual run of the mill. It was a pleasure to see you last week and thank you once again for your contribution in making the evening such an entertaining event”.
Veronica Cooper, Hertfordshire Institute of Directors
“Susan spoke at our Enterprising Women networking event in Stevenage and displayed a natural flare for public speaking and creating a rapport with the audience. She shared her business expertise with confidence and enthusiasm, engaging with everyone. Susan left us feeling inspired and created a vibrant atmosphere for lively networking afterwards”.
Alison Medlock, Enterprising Women Membership Services Manager

“Executive Voice was engaged to work with Nikki Walker who had been booked to deliver presentations at major international events, and for onscreen appearances for videostreamed meetings. She was already an outstanding and experienced speaker/presenter, and wished to focus on fine tuning her performance. Executive Voice focused on practising the speeches, fine tuning the content, pacing the delivery and ensuring the key messages were clear in the content and delivery. In addition, Executive Voice developed Nikki’s self evaluation skills and performance preparation routines to ensure she performed at the very highest standard. She received the highest score of all presenters at the first conference after Executive Voice was engaged”.
Nikki Walker, Inclusion and Diversity Director, European Markets, CISCO
“The client had received feedback that he was not audible in boardroom meetings and that he was not making an impact there and within the organisation. He is a highly successful, experienced and knowledgeable professional, who was valued by the company but whose presence was being lost in board meetings. We worked on a variety of skills enabling the client to develop a stronger, clearer, more audible voice and a more open, confident body language in meetings. We focused on verbal and non verbal skills to engage other people at meetings, to ensure the client was heard and that his message came across effectively. Almost immediately the impact of his performances in meetings was noted and his contribution increased significantly”.
“Susan was great for me. Not only did she have all the technical and practical knowledge to improve the impact of my voice, but her supportive style got us working well together right from the start”.
Senior Partner at BDO Stoy Hayward. 2009
“The client engaged Executive Voice following an appraisal where she received negative feedback on her meeting and communication skills with colleagues. The client had recently been promoted to a senior position and wished to make an impact with her new team. The client was from Scotland and she was very conscious of her accent. She was also quite short in height and her posture was poor when she walked and sat, and this made her appear even smaller. Initially we focused on posture when standing, sitting and walking, to ensure she developed a ‘larger’ presence. We then focused on the voice, to ensure it was clear and audible in a variety of business situations. The client’s voice was clear; her accent was soft and not an issue. It was invaluable for her to have this feedback. We also changed the client’s voice mail messages to be clear and positive. For meetings, we worked on a number of strategies, including positioning in the room, skills in engaging other members of the team to listen and body language. The impact of this training was immediate with notable feedback from her director”.

“I think the combination of my executive coaching and voice coaching led to me feeling the benefit of the voice coaching in a very short space of time. I was clear at the start what the issues were for me and where I most lacked confidence. Susan is very helpful at getting to the nitty gritty of what the problem really is in a non-threatening way. For example, I was convinced that my strong accent was getting in the way of me making points clearly at meetings”.
